iPhone

When we thought that mobile phones revoulutinized the 21st century, there was more to it. Every time you could see me, I had a mobile phone on one hand and my notebook on the other trying to balance the two. To add to this circus my favorite playlist would be running on my mp3 player.I stongly feel that Apple saw me in this state and went on to get a integrated version of all these appliances on a single device viz iphone.Introduced in 2007 , Apples own Chief executive officer Steve Jobs gave a great opening to this fantastic model. Thousands and thousands thronged to buy this version which had wi fi, mp3 and mobile phone capabilities. The result: An instant hit and people were simply crazy after the device. The sales went up to 60000 a month and people awaited for another new release from the company. This baby from apple browses through the internet most quickly thanks to the 3G technology coming handy. Social networking sites became more user friendly as people updated their status as they got updates on their phones. In July 2009, the company launched another version with more advanced features , 3G S, s for speed with updated software for better performances. The phone is now a necessity thanks to apple.

Orkut

Social Networking sites have bought in a revolution and we must accept that these sites have drastically changed our lives. This article dedicated to my first social networking site: Orkut. I was in love with it the first time it came out. The site initially started in U.S became more common to Brazilians and soon a large part of Indians also came into the network. The site became user friendly in each of its updates. The best part was the number of communities where in people could exchange views, information and have debates, discussions. It was a one stop site for all your needs. As I had shifted my schools a couple of times and made new friends each time, I had lost many old ones which were very special to me. .  As years passed on and my profession took me to different levels the gap became too much and it was once or twice a year I could meet my loved ones. But when Orkut was introduced, I caught hold of all of them and hence the link which was pending for 10 years was re-established. I was simply overjoyed. We exchanged photos, updates and chatted every time we were online. Moreover the site also helped me make more and more friends. thanks orkut. You made my life special

Hybrid Vehicles

When the whole world is into saving fuels and cutting down consumptions at various junctures, another group is being smart and developing other tec hniques or I would say other alternatives to energy. We all know about non conventional sources of energy, and fuel cells is one of them.So let me go in a detail to explain the concept of fuel cells. Fuel cells are devices from which you can generate electricity or energy from fuel. So how do produce fuel? This fuel is generated by the action of water and hydrogen combined in order to form a mixture during which a considerable amount of energy is being produced. Now if this energy is given to a motor through various advances in power electronics then we can put an end to internal combustion engines. The advantages being the fuel required is abundant in the atmosphere namely hydrogen and oxygen. The by products are also non polluting and hence we could make a huge shift in atmospheric conditions if we implement these fuel cells. The intial cost of a fuel cell is at present high but with mass production we can easily bring down the prices in a short period of time.

Terrorism - After Effects

There are 3 partitions in our ages, B.C,A.D and the less commonly known 9/11. Most of us whether of US nationality or other regions greatly wept when we saw shocking pictures of planes crashing into towers killing thousands and thousands in seconds. The third partition which I mentioned had a serious effect on people especially the ones of Asian backgrounds. For ages, American people shared their stage with fellow Asians may it be on any line. But after the attacks, there was a growing hostility among the Americans and people from Asia mainly Indians,Pakistanis , Arabs were a victim of terrorism . Islamic Religion, being the most affected, people being harassed as if the Muslims and Hindus in America helped Osama carry out the attack. Racism was on a rise and the government could do little as people had a lot of anger vested in them to crush the elements which caused the strikes. A nation was literally destroyed for the search of a terrorist and innocent civilians in Afghanistan were massacred. This brings us to note something essential, human being had lost his right to live, o live with freedom. As a world instead of fighting with problems we became a part of it. Now that its all over, we must stop these brutal attacks and start with a fresh beginning forgetting the past

Strange World

We live in a very strange world. We have many people around us but there a very few who actually care for. Right from school we meet different people, make great friends, have a lotta fun and when its comes to say a good bye we weep, may be cry a little hard for a couple of days and then go back to square number 1 where in we forget our friends. Statistically speaking only 20-30 percent of the people try to stay in contact with their past, others just crush them and go ahead in their life. So why are so selfish in the first place? Physcologically speaking, most of us consider themselves less successful than their counterparts and hence, feel shy to stay in atmosphere where there are really successful people and then there are few losers. The so called losers don't want to stay in contact as they feel under achieved or may be they might be insulted or harassed when a new conversation regarding their career is picked up. So the bottom line is that we must understand people, speak boldly to your closed ones and make sure that they don't feel uncomfortable when we are around. Each of us can make a difference so lets begin.

Avatar

I hate science fiction! I m not going to an Aliens movie- these were the words which I told my friends before I entered the theatre to watch my second  movie, Avatar. And after I came out I had just one word –WOW. James Cameroon is truly a magician, the way he choose his locations, the screenplay all seemed so magical that I did not want to leave the theatre even when the movie was over.  The story is all about how humans try to make friendship with aliens of another planet Pandora and how the protagonist Jake Sully finds his path between the good and bad. Man, again shown materialistic in his approach, wants to conquer this planet . The ways by which the protagonist turns from a human to his new avatar is the story. Meanwhile he falls in love with Neytiri which makes him even more deterrent to fight against the evils and get justice. The last half an hour where in reunites all the living mates of Pandora, explains to them the importance, and wages a tough competition to the humans who with their fine ammunitions create damage to Navi population. The movie is simply inspiring and an must see for those who haven’t till now.

GOOGLE

The word google meant only a search engine a couple of years. But after the recent advancements, its not only a search engine but something bigger and better than that. I owe my first article to this great company Google Inc. if u look back, you will know apart from the search engine google has stepped into everything known in the internet, may it be on the host that I m blogging now or the videos which we watch everyday on youtube. Google didn’t have a messenger but now even that’s there,Google buzz although not developed is prevelant in many places.May it be picassa or chrome. The best part of these softwares is that all of them are user friendly. You don’t have to be a great scholar to upload pics or videos.Or may be google earth which kept everyone spell bound . no one had even thought that such a thing would occur. Even mobile products gained popularity and people were simply crazy. Just imagine what would we have been if there did not exist a “google”. Thanks to all the people behind making internet so interesting.
